Folks,

I'm starting to dip my toes into the bowden extruder pool, and at first attempted to thread the PTFE tubing and use a pair of 1/4-20 nuts to lock the tubing to a custom-designed extruder body.

It worked well enough, except that as the tube was moved back and forth, it would slowly loosen.

My second take is better in a number of respects:

It is a compression clamp based on and uses the parts from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17027 but rather than being only for an ultimaker, it works with any j-head compatible extruder.

Use the quick release fittings.

Why bother, when I can print something that will work with virtually any extruder?

Also, the one that I received was kind of junk PVC job with an odd thread (BSPT).  What kind of extruder is it for?
