Great news: my Prusa i3's PSU died today! So, I'm now looking for a replacement. I have an old ATX power supply, which I'll have to test, which I might use. What are your opinions on this? Should I buy a new PSU, or should I convert this ATX one? Thanks!

Can't comment on the ATX powersupply option. This one has served me well, after dialing in the pot on the back to output 12V:

~$25 shipped from Amazon.

Good luck

I use ATX on most of my printers. Just make sure you load the 5v with at least a 1amp load (5ohm 25W resistor or car light bulb). And split the 12v across as many 12v wires as you can.

Not a fan of using ATX PSUs because the PSU, though it may provide X number of watts, may only provide Y number of watts on the rail you need to use the most (presumably the 12V rail)

I much prefer linear power supplies like the one that jorwex recommended, with a stepdown converter if need be for electronics such as USB powered equipment like the RaspberryPi I have sticking out the side of one of my machines.
