Dear friends,

You are welcome to participate in Bash Commander project - a small but
powerful extension to GNU Bash. As a final target, this functionality
is wished to become a part of official Bash. But at present time the
project is developed as a separate branch, to join Bash later.

IMHO, Bash is the best interactive shell available. Embedding visual
file browser in it would make it even more user friendly and powerful.

There are several directions for development:
* Adding functionality: sorting modes, file select by pattern, etc.
* Creating packages for Linux (rpm, deb), FreeBSD and others
* Fixing bugs
* Preparing documentation, including manual page and FAQ on web site
* Merging with Bash sources
* Dialog utility: fixing Unicode support

Surely this project would make our Unix life even more happier! :)
