How to Build a Rails api

 Hi,

I am a novice rails developer. I want to learn to build  rails api from the scratch on rails 4 using sqlite. However, I am not getting a proper easily readable and doable document with examples.Can anyone guide me how to build such an api step by step and perhaps give links to really good videos and documents.

  I would request to follow JSONAPI standards when we develop APIs, it will help in seamless integration with consumers developed on likes of Single page frameworks or others.
