I did pickup a SIGMA 1009 STS wireless cycle computer for my MTB. I followed the exact install instructions, but for some reason I'm not getting KMH displayed. I just see 0.0KMH blinking. I checked on the spacing between the magnet and transmitter as well the placing distance between transmitter and receiver. Everything looks ok.

I missing on something. Anyone had a similar experience and can throw me some pointers to fix.

thanks in advance!

blinking display should means the device in trying to synchronize /
pair itself with the transmitter but due to some reason unable to do
so.
1. check for battery connections in the transmitter. the battery could
be dead or incorrectly positioned
2. check for the transmitter's led turning green on proximity with the
magnet for the first couple of times (indicating the transmitter is
working fine)
3. check if the transmitter sensor side is correctly facing the magnet
(the led should be on the outer side, opposite side to the magnet)
3. try installing the transmitter a little higher and remove any
signal interfacing articles (like the front handle bar bag etc) to
increase the signal strength if that is the case
4. try long pressing the bottom right button. that would cause it to
reset the synchronization / pairing

Grateful if the tour plans etc,., are passed on to me to enable me join your teams which I am sure will be a great human network and an extra ordinary fun.

Welcome Dr Venkatesh. I am very sure you will find us a lot more friendlier than the idiots who tried to kill you. But watch out for the BMTC. I am not very sure of those guys.

I hope I will have the pleasure of riding with you some day and learn from your experience.

Regards

Sabari
