I just remembered, today is Sep. 13th.

Brian Copeland's new afternoon show begins.

It think its called "7 Live" , (the other choice of name was Copra,
but ABC legal nixed it)

I think its worth watching just for the live aspect.

The competition (below) leaves me to think there is a opening for
something fresh and live.
Something with the possibility of the unknown to burst forth.

Ch 11, "the Nate Berkus show".... zzzzzz (some interior decorator
guy)
Ch 5. Peoples Court
Ch 4 Dr. Phil
Ch 2 Dr Oz

So that leaves Brian Copeland on Ch 7 and the PBS NewsHour on Ch 9,
both LIVE!

Saw parts of it, the beginning, other parts, and the end.

Perhaps 25 minutes of the 55 in bits and parts. (I was busy doing
other things)

First 10 minutes everything was new, including the set, and a bit
complicated, including the details of the gas explosion, but after a
while I began to get an idea of the swing and tempo of the show.

Obviously the pablum eating, Dr. Phil mushheads won't be won over
instantly, if ever, as they might have to think.
However given the other shows at 3:00 pm, if this develops its style,
I can see it doing well, especially for the audience under 60.

Local, but a bit more active than other "recipe and crafts" shows. No
chair throwing yet, but I'm sure there will be some edgy segments.

Thus far no accordions, but you never know, Mr. Kaye may yet become a
guest.

I was in and out, so I wasn't sure, but was the PG&E ex-employee
live? If so, I could see more of that live remote interview being
interesting. Protests, problems, semi-news...

It seems like the show could and probably will evolve in many
directions instead of a guest 1, guest 2, guest 3, style.

There was a aspect of the informal "peanut gallery" that I liked.

I think when news events (Tiger Woods, pit-bulls, and oil spills)
occur that day or the day prior, that this format will be wide open
and flowing with energy.

I guess the only thing to be added for success would be charts,
graphs, with lot of data. Stuff that you can't show on the radio.

You know, global warming numbers from Antarctica and Greenland for the
past 125 years.

Oh yes, and a in-studio grammarian, perhaps Gene Burns, sitting on a
stool suggesting a more appropriate word here and there.
Afternoon audiences love vocabulary.

All in all, a good start. Something that has the potential to go
somewhere new.

PS. Oh yes, I couldn't tell, was that Bay Bridge shot live or
Memorex?

Good show.
Fast paced without any cooking and no one did a segment on 5 uses for
empty toilet paper rolls. The co hosts were bright funny and likable.
Copie was funny, smart and informative. It is a great start. I have my
DVR set to record it every day.

I should set the DVR for it. Who's home at 3:00 p.m.?

Apparently KGO-DT2 will be showing repeats of the show every night at
10:00 pm. I happened upon it tonight and it follows the practice
they did with The View From the Bay.
Thus, no need to DVR it unless you can't make it at 10pm.

Copie and I did attend the same high school, after all...

I'll see if I can get my TV card working again. It overheated and shut down.
I haven't looked at it since. Maybe if KGO-TV were to stream...

This is good to know. Back in ye olden days when Mike Douglas had a show and
I was just a boy, I cringed whenever he'd do a cooking demo. I absolutely
hated it. Well, the years haven't tempered my aversion to cooking shows, even
good ones.

A bright local TV show? Come again? I'll just have to rig up a way to watch
KGO-TV.

Sorry, not interested in anything "Copeland". What does the show
consist of, beating up little old ladies or kicking the crutches out
from under crippled kids? He takes such pleasure inflicting
additional pain on the helpless and permanently damaged. Probably the
Catholic upbringing.

Great idea. I will think of it as "Coprah."

It's no Steve Wilkos show, that's for sure.

I liked the ending when he had Michael Finney on talking
about suing telemarketers and SPAM e-mail. Copeland was good and
it seems the show is based on what's hot on the internet in the
form of tweets, news stories and blogs. While it's not really a
new concept, it might be good enough to stay on for a while.

Kaye,
I have sat in Western Sa'moa, watching the television, along with
others
in an open fale. They are interested to see the world and what it
has to
offer. Really, what the fuck is your problem ?
You have for years complained about not wanting to get a t.v., and
now
here you are complaining about your
stupid t.v. card for your computer....
Over-heating no less.
That package of yours is "hot"...

Go out and buy a fucking TV, and stop annoying everyone with your
whinney-ass drama-queen non-sense, that really belongs in the
newsgroup that you are more involved in....that being ba.motts.

Your mind is always on your loins and asshole.
Go get at TV
Support The Economy.
You Big Dummy !

I thought it was going to be Brian Copeland's show.

Rather, it was Copeland with no chair, and two annoying
women with opinions that I could care less to hear, along
with the extra over-acting, and personalities like sandpaper.
Those two ?
Erectile Dysfunction in men.

Copeland, was dressed in black LEATHER. I know that the
lead Nazi's, the Generals, Hitler, etc., just love their black
leather....and so does the homosexuals who deal in whippings
and beatings to achieve orgasm.
Go for it Brian,
Michael Savage is re-thinking his wardrobe, if he is reading this.

You see, I wear big bells (usually Levi's), 12".....Copeland has no
flare.....ha ha....I like that...Copeland has ------> No Flare.
His pant cuffs are like so tight to his legs, and the pants are
like
so tight to his legs. Hasn't Brian heard about living Large ?
Rather, he is a small "man", intellectually, entirely NAIVE to
the worlds problems, namely Islam the religion of Muhammad's
blood lust conquest of the world. Copeland is really that stupid
and evil ! ! !

Copeland's shoes are weird too, when taking in account his
NO FLARE shituation, tight pant legs......the big feet of
Copie stick out even more....
and yet again...MORE LEATHER !

Go for it Brian, the way you hatched a plot to sabotage Bernie
Ward before his sentencing phase is right out of the NAZI
playbook, and of course the NAACP playbook, who framed
Marcus Garvey.

Shorter Body, Smaller Brain.
Hi Brian.

Additionally -

The furniture on Brian Copeland's set is bizarre looking,
namely those 2 work-stations of those 2 women who stole
Brian's show. Really though, I thought it was going to be

I DVR'd yesterday and watched the first few minutes. I liked the show
which may not bode well for Brian because a lot of shows I like get
canceled. :D

Thing is I don't have time to sit and watch it daily. That's why I
listen to talk radio as it can sit in the background and I can zero in
on it if I hear something of interest. A little more difficult with TV.
