Glenn Beck compares Norway victims to Hitler Youth

Glenn Beck, who in June aired his final cable tv show on Fox News, is
still on the radio and has found a new way to get his name into the
headlines around the globe.

Instead of calling the president of the United States a racist, Beck
focused on the scores of young people gunned down at a camp in Norway.
Beck said the camp reminded him of Adolf Hitler's infamous Hitler
Youth.

"There was a shooting at a political camp, which sounds a little like,
you know, the Hitler youth. I mean, who does a camp for kids that's
all about politics? Disturbing," Beck stated in the first minute of
his syndicated radio show Monday.

Torbjørn Eriksen, the former press secretary to Norway's prime
minister, was not amused.

"Young political activists have gathered at Utoya for over 60 years to
learn about and be part of democracy, the very opposite of what the
Hitler Youth was about," Eriksen told The Daily Telegraph. "Glenn
Beck's comments are ignorant, incorrect and extremely hurtful," he
added.

To answer Beck's question of "who does a camp for kids that's all
about politics?": Caroline Shinkle does. The recent high school grad
founded Camp USA two years ago. The free, nonprofit, nonpartisan
political camp in Cape Cod, Mass., is designed for middle-schoolers.

According to its website, Camp USA aspires to have kids leave the camp
"with knowledge, confidence, and eagerness to be politically
involved."

Conservative columnist Jeff Lukens created a political camp in Tampa,
Fla., which aligns itself closer to "tea party" values. One of the
games described by the St. Petersburg Times would surely make
presidential hopeful Ron Paul smile.

"Children will win hard, wrapped candies to use as currency for a
store, symbolizing the gold standard. On the second day, the 'banker'
will issue paper money instead. Over time, students will realize their
paper money buys less and less, while the candies retain their value,"
the newspaper explained.

Glenn Beck is right. The island resort for kids in Oslo was being
used by kids who were members of the Labor Party which is also who is
in power in Oslo.

If you have any understanding of European politics, you know that the
Labor Party is the far left just as the democrat party in the USA has
become the far left.

Yet, truth has nothing to do with the scam the left is trying to play
here in the USA. They hate Glenn Beck with a passion because he has
turned a bright spotlight on them and has exposed their extreme
radical views to the general public who had no idea how off the edge
the democrat party has become.

GLENN BECK IS A GREAT AMERICAN!

You believe that because a lot of greedy bastards want to hire illegal
immigrants at substandard wages with no benefits or insurance while
holding them effectively hostage by threatening them with ICE and such
is something to be proud of and should be advocated?

Señor, I have free will (and LOTS of job offers). Save for marriage,
there is no bigger demonstration of trust than that of an employer-
employee. The fact is that America likes us and trusts us: for every
member of the undocumented workforce there is one employer or buyer of
our products/services. We feed you and take care of your babies.

In reference to La Migra: Call them and they will ignore you at best,
laugh in your face at worse. The Obama administration ordered to leave
Juan the Frutpicker and Maria the Chambermaid alone, so they can focus
on the real bad guys. (read a little).

Funny you mention it, since I am in the US due to a baseball team,

They are "progressive" countries, not socialist. Regulated capitalism is
the norm for each of the listed.

These countries do show us on a relatively small scale what can be
accomplished when a people unite through their government to work toward
social justice.

Which is rather why I placed "socialist" in quote marks.

Twenty-nine sees "socialists" under his bed and considers anyone to the
left of Ghenghis Khan to be "socialist".

Rather than getting into a semantic argument with the boy, I thought it
easier to just point out that the three countries he picked out as
"socialist" are actually pretty good places to live.

The Finnish model of socialism isn't suitable for other societies.
Finnish academic Petri Rouvinen points out that
"The Finnish mindset is collectivist.... It's that kind of mindset that
makes it possible to have this sort of system."
"We are a small homogenous country, heavily state-based, and our social
model as a whole is so typically Finnish that it won't travel,"
admits sociology professor Riisto Erasaari of Helsinki University. "But
parts of it ... are exportable."

It has done better in the past but sales suffer right now.
Finland wants to go like America in structure and is working at it but
the socialist part will slow progress.
They want our type of government while our m00nbats want their socialist

According to the data, it must require Socialist Democrats to be in power.

Or maybe you have that counter intuitive thing going? You know where the
leading countries of the world so far as standards of living are
concerned all have what you term as "social democrats" in charge so if
the US were to achieve such status we would have to have fascist in
charge. That is exemplary of your reasoning ability, right?

Finnish resistance may have be heroic but it was far from successful.
The Winter War was ended by the Moscow Peace Treaty in early 1940 by
which Finland ceded over 10% of its territory (containing 30% of its
industrial base) to the Soviet Union.

The Winter War was successful only in the sense that Finland wasn't
totally crushed by the Soviets. Other than that, it was a pretty clear loss.

The SAAB Gripen is as good a fourth generation fighter as there is.

I've no doubt SAAB could design and build an F-22-type if anyone could

Nokia Slumps, IDC Says
July 29, 2011, 5:47 AM EDT
More From Businessweek

By Mark Lee

July 29 (Bloomberg) -- Apple Inc. more than doubled its share of the
global handset market last quarter as the iPhone maker posted record
shipments, while Nokia Oyjs lead in the industry shrank amid a sales
slump, research company IDC said.

Apple increased its market share to 5.6 percent in the second quarter,
from 2.6 percent a year earlier, IDC said in an e-mailed statement
today. Nokia, Samsung Electronics Co. and LG Electronics Inc., the three
biggest vendors, all lost market share, making Apple the only one of the
top-four to post a gain, according to the Framingham,
Massachusetts-based researcher.

Nokia this month posted its first quarterly loss since 2009 as the
Espoo, Finland-based company reported weaker-than- expected revenue.
Apple, the worlds biggest technology company by market value, had
record sales and profit last quarter helped by demand for the iPhone,
its biggest revenue contributor.

Nokias market share shrank to 24.2 percent from 33.8 percent a year
earlier, after shipments plunged 20 percent, according to IDC. The
Finnish company is losing out to low-cost vendors including Chinas TCL
Corp. and Huawei Technologies Co., according to IDC.

Samsung, maker of the Galaxy smartphone, accounted for 19.2 percent of
the global mobile-phone market last quarter, declining from 19.4 percent
a year earlier, IDC said. LGs market share fell to 6.8 percent from 9.3
percent, IDC said.

What is the average salary in Norway?

Do you mean nett or gross? It depends on what's deducted, if someone's
employed or self employed and don't forget there is VAT of 14% on basic
foodstuffs. It's normal for people to have around 48% of their wages
deducted or asked for as tax and then if they have paid too much, they
will, in theory get it back some time. You can earn a very high wage in
Norway and have a terrible quality of life especially if you are ill. I
am currently involved with helping the UK recover the cost of treating
me in the UK after 4 failed attempts at getting treatment for an ailment
attributable to work in Norway, where I pay tax and social security
deductions. Many Norwegians find they have to leave Norway to get a
decent standard of living. The wages can be high but they need to be to
cover the basic costs of living.
Source(s):
lived in Norway many years

Veritas

Depends what kind of job you have...but I will tell you the tax in
Norway is 40 to 50% of what you earn.

start rusting too bad.

SAAB would have to buy the avionics from us or Russia to compete.
Europe is behind us in avionics but Russia is quite good by now.
I have said for a long time that we should build aircraft more the way
the Russians do. They do more with less than anybody else and their
planes are extremely rugged and work in impossible conditions.
MiG-29 Fulcrum can take off on a gravel road. Please notice the big
tires on it for landing just about anywhere.
It easily executes the 150 degree King Cobra maneuver. And the Russian
pilots are very well trained.

OTOH, the South Africans, Czechs, Hungarians, and Thais seem to think so.

And they've actually bought the Gripen rather than just thinking about it.

Once again, you seem confused.

SAAB Aerospace is not the same company as SAAB AV.

I believe the avionics are developed by Erikson.

And the Gripen has STOL capabilities.

Impressive.

Which is impressive for airshows but of marginal operational value. In
any event, the throughly obsolescent SAAB J-35 Draken is quite capable
of the cobra. I rather suspect the Gripen could do likewise if the
Swedes saw any value in training their pilots to do it.

While you're juking around with your airshow shit, the enemy will put an
AIM-120 up your tailpipe.

A handful of Russian pilots are well trained. The remainder are lucky if
they get two or three flights a season.

In case you've not noticed, the Russians are rather strapped for cash.

Small orders but business anyway.

Not at all.

The Swedes make it so what if the Dutch own the company. You want a DAF?

I know of no swedes doing it.

Poor retort. Lacks credability.

So are we but that doesn't stop the Blue Angels.
Word is they may shut it down, too expensive now that Obama-money is
more worthless than monopoly money.

You might compare that with the number of lives lost on 9-11. Or the
economic injury incurred from that event.
It would have been cheaper in both lives and money to just suffer
another 9-11 every six or seven years.

Capitalists, not American patriots. And capitalists are only
coincidently American.

Would American patriots sell our military defective helmets and body
armor? Capitalists certainly would - and have.

A better world is possible a world where people come before profits.
Thats socialism. Thats our vision. We are the Communist Party USA.

"Capitalist" is just a high class word for "thief"

I don't know what plane that was but at high altitude it's far from low
level demonstration quality. The high altitude is to favor the pilot
should the thing go into a flat spin or the single engine stall. I
imagine with a single little engine a swede would bust out in a sweat if
asked to stand on the nozzle and roll it backwards with just the engine
thrust keeping it off the ground.
It's just unfair to compare the little swede plane to twin engine
fighters with thrust vectoring.
