Did you get a new .lic file from autodesk or are you trying to run the 2004
license?

upgrade to ACAD 2005 I was told there was a previous version installed and
to uninstall it first. I was told to uninstall the current flexLM and then
install the new flexLM version. I did that and now I get 'A valid license
could not be obtained by the network license manager. Try again. If you are
still unable to access a license, contact your system administrator. Error
[1.5,-97]' I am the system administrator and I don't know.

Allen,

I did get a new .lic file, but it won't accept it. I even tried copying the old one back but that didn't work either.

I don't recognize the error. The best I can suggest at this point is to go
over the steps in the installation help. Particularly those regarding
starting and stopping the service and rereading the license file.

Not sure what you mean trying to copy and it won't accept?

You probably reinstalled Network License Manager without stopping it.
So, if you installed new Network License Manager, please try to stop service
first (if it doesn't stop, reboot your server) then pint your LMTOOLS to the
new license file and start it again.

Hope this helps.
