That's it...I have watched The Bill long enough to know a 'dud'
character and actor when I see one.

I just cannot stand Holmes' character anymore, and even more so, I
cannot tolerate Joy Brook's acting. Compared to other characters and
actors in the show, her character and acting is very weak. Even in one
of the latest episodes where she was 'banged up' in prison (for bad
acting???) she still couldn't deliver a performance with strength and
credibility when the story line so easily allowed it. Even when she is
trying to be flirtatious, something DC Liz would never do, she can't
carry it off. For god's sake, what is redeeming about this woman??????

Have you noticed how Holmes 'postures', the hands on hips etc, and
then delivers the 'Holier than thou' lines such as "but surely Guv..."

Surely Guv, we can get rid of her now, can't we???

This is The Bill remember. The show that kept Tosh Lines around even
though the actor couldn't stay in the background without fucking it up.

The acting on last night's episode (15/4) was attrocious, especially on behalf
of the woman copper. she couldn't make up her mind whether to be tolerantly
indulgent, flirty, or unreceptively cold to the jockey. Really, really dire

Ah yes, but Vicki sure isn't bad looking with her hair down. :)

Agreed though... as an ep of The Bill it was patchy at best. One moment she
couldn't think of anything worse than being in the same room as the bloke,
next moment she appears to be about to kiss him and goes "Oh, this is
silly!".

Quite.

Having now watched the episode, I can understand by she was pissed off at
the jockey. It is certainly good to see her out of uniform.
