FWIW, I've got a pretty good idea, but I'm certainly not going to put
forward any names here.

Maybe you can go through the same process as me. The identifiers are
that he works for Metro on stations (and at one stage on the former Bay
Street hand-operated gates), and he posted a few days ago that that he
was until recently an office bearer in a rail heritage group, but isn't
a member of Steamrail. He has shown some awareness of the internal
workings of the ARHS (Vic.).

Incidentally, "Sir Thomas" previously had the Railpage pseudonym "Deep
Throat".

Now does anyone know the real identity of "brasstrain"?

So he is a low level railway employee. Not that I ordinarily care what
people do for a living nor look down on people but he does come acress as a
pompous git with an overblown sense of self importance which is
unfortunately all too common on Railpage where the unimportant can appear to
be important.

See if you can guess who brasstrain is. I do have a professional reason to
use brasstrain.
