Use of ElasticSearch version greater than 1.2.1

Guys, 

I've seen some changes in ES 1.3.x that I would like to implement, but If I use an ES version different than 1.2.1 I'm seeing a warning saying that Titan ES version is different.

should I use the new version anyway? should I recompile titan with the new version? what would be the best solution for this?

We are using Titan 0.5.1 with ES 1.3 without any issues. I don't believe the binary protocol changed.

Any chance to bump Titan to the latest Elasticsearch version? (1.4.2 at the moment)

Elastic Search is now up to 1.5 so I'm hoping Titan 1.0 will use the latest version.
