I am a local IT Recruiter that's working with a technology start-up here in Atlanta (Buckhead). They are looking to staff up their engineering team and immediately seeking 2 PHP Engineers to join their team. More details below.

Thompson Technologies is seeking 2 PHP Engineers (1 Full Stack and 1 Back end) for an up and coming start-up located in Buckhead. Our client has a unique story to tell! The CEO started this company with $800 and built it to 15 Million this year. This means NO VC, all cash business, no debt, very stable environment. They are experiencing significant growth and looking for sharp software engineers to add to their rapidly growing team. Our client services over 100 locations across North America and are the leading group reservation service for Fortune 500s. This would be a full-time/permanent position located in Buckhead.

For the Full Stack PHP Engineer Role:

• They are looking for a full-stack web developer with experience in SEO.
• This candidate must have a deep understanding of SEO from a technical and on-page perspective.
• Prior SEO experience from a successful e-commerce website is a plus.

• Maintain and improve our current reservation platform and website architecture
• Efficiently roll out technical features from concept to product
• Ensure proper technical design and quality standards are upheld
• Ensure quality applications through test-driven development
• Ability to detect and analyze technical SEO issues, as well as ranking issues as they occur
• Monitor and track SEO implementations

Qualifications:

• MS or BS in Computer Science from Top Tier University - This is a requirement – preferably degree from Georgia Tech, MIT, Carnegie Mellon or the like.
• 2+ years of professional experience in various web technologies platforms, and frameworks (i.e., PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS3)
• 2+ years of experience in implement technical SEO strategies

For the Back-end PHP Engineer role:

• MS or BS in Computer Science from Top Tier University - This is a requirement – preferably degree from Georgia Tech, MIT, Carnegie Mellon or the like.
• Knowledge or experience in PHP frameworks like CakePHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, Zend, Symfony, etc.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and relational database conceptualization
• Have a thorough knowledge of search engine ranking factors
• Ability to understand a problem, and design a stack to create the perfect scalable solution
• Knowledge and experience in Python, AWS, security principles including SSL protocols and data encryption, JavaScript technologies and frameworks such as Node, Angular, React, and integrating third party APIs. (Nice to have)
