JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Web Development Lead
Location: Lawrenceville, GA
Department: Engineering
Reports to: Director of Engineering

GENERAL PURPOSE
This role utilizes various technologies to develop and deploy new features/products. Other duties include working with Product Management to determine the best path for implementing new features and products, programming and maintaining back-end processes (reports, nightly batch processes, etc.) utilizing PHP, and supporting internal/external customer issues.

JOB DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (with % weights = 100%)

• 50% - Code development (PHP / JS / HTML / CSS / SQL)
• 30% - Work with Product Management and System/Hardware/Firmware Engineers to develop new products/features and support field issues
• 15% - Work with System Administrators to maintain infrastructure and keep technologies up to date
• 5% - Enforce and develop code review/deployment/testing procedures
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Strong with HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript with a deep understanding of how to make everything work harmoniously together.
• Experience with MVC using Symfony or similar PHP framework.
• Responsible for Security Audits and Customer Security Questionnaires
• Maintain existing web application, implement new features, and ensure ongoing browser compatibility.
• Experience consuming and producing JSON APIs.
• Handle trouble tickets related to existing web application problems or usability.
• Understand and use best practices in code development/testing
• Enjoys front-end tech, but comfortable writing bash scripts and using other tools to solve problems and enhance productivity
• Familiar with Linux, Apache, PHP, Python, PostgreSQL, Fabric, version control and latest deployment techniques.
• Enjoys learning new technology and keeping up to date with current best practices
  

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• BS degree in related field and 5+ years practical working experience required.
