Greetings all,

I have been slowly but persistently updating tools for Athena Ruby over the last several months. Visit the temporary site for a general view of what's what. Once Dumbarton Oaks' website developers are prepared to deploy the more complex features of Athena Ruby in our content management system, much of that material will migrate to the official website.

You may find two new tools, now under testing, interesting.

First is a conversion tool for our old font, Athena. If you are a long-time user of our older font, you will find this will save you time in updating older documents.

Second is a visual palette that allows you to pick characters in Athena Ruby. It is intended for those who want to pick text and paste it into ordinary word processors, so it uses the private use area (and not standard Unicode) for unusual characters.

If anyone on this list is developing a web-based publication using Athena Ruby, please let me know. I'd like to compare our efforts.

Best wishes,

jk
