atg.deployment.file.DeploymentSourceException:

Hi Experts,

I am getting the below error while trying to do full-deployments.

Any idea for this issue.

I did "/atg/deployment/file/DeploymentConfiguration.noCopyLiveToStaging=true" as per the error.Still the error is there while doing full deployments.

Any thought highly appreciated.

Hi K,

     First check for allowMissingNonEssentialAgents property ins Deployment to true or false. Change the value at admin console and redo deployment. 

    Once not fixed : Check in atg.deployment.server.Deployment class has getTargetLiveDataStoreName() of type String and getSwitchableDataSources which extends DeploymentServer component of publishing. 

     you will find DeploymentAgent component in production or agent.

Try this?

Hello

 Prepare failure may happen due to one of following reasons.

1. Live Data Source mismatch in Production.
2. Production RMI is non listening mode.

In your case it seems to be the first one  so

1. Go to Agents Tab and Click on "Switchable DataSources"

2. Change "SwitchDataSource" and "ConfigFileSystem" to either DataSourceA or DataSourceB. Select the mismatch    datasource and Switch selected datasources.
3. Go back to "Details" tab and resume the deployment

No No, the debug enabling helped me to find the root cause which eventually lead me to the epub_deployment tables :)
