How to specify for QSO data using astroML to query for data

I would like to download QSO spectra data from SDSS DR7 and am trying to use fetch_sdss_corrected_spectra() as done here but do not know how to specify for QSO data. Should I use fetch_dr7_qso()?

I want to pick 3000 QSOs from the database, and only use those with redshift between 0.08 and 0.53, so I think fetch_sdss_corrected_spectra() is best suited for this, but I have not found a valid implementation based on the documentation.
