Anyone want a 17" MacBook Pro (I think 2012) with a fried logic board?  Free.

No idea.  Mac shows zero signs of life.  Honestly though, I've done little to arrive at this diagnosis, other than read a few suggestions on the web.

Pretty sure I removed the hard drive.  Forget how much ram this thing could take, but I know it's maxed, and for some reason I remember 32 gigs.  But it might be 16.  And it was the one that had dual graphics cards (one for low power consumption, one for best performance, switchable in system settings).

You're more than welcome to have it.  If you spend 10 minutes on it and end up with a perfectly functional computer, I'll take a 12-pack of PBR. : )

Oh, and it was caused by water spillage.  That probably would've been helpful at the start of this...It was very little water, but, apparently, enough.

Sounds like a plan. I'll take a crack at it.

I was about to say that I'd bring it by the meeting this Tuesday, but my wife has something going that night.  Could probably make the next meeting.  Want it sooner?

Also - It was my (now deceased) cat that dumped the water, not me.  Note that he was hit by a car, purely accidentally.  I didn't retire him for killing my laptop.  : )

That's how these things usually work. Still not as bad as the time when I fell asleep with my computer in my lap and woke up as it fell of my lofted bed and literally shattered the hard drive into many tiny pieces... Supposedly my bed was a few inches taller than the drop-rated height.

No rush. I have plenty on my plate so whenever you get it in is fine.
