Utrack Africa (Tanzania ) Limited is one of the leading providers of Fleet Management and Vehicle Tracking solutions in Tanzania and East Africa in general.

 

We are looking for a competent candidate who has qualifications and experience specified below to fill the position of Control room operator.

 

 

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

 

·         A candidate should have qualifications & professional with experience in control room coordination with ability to execute control room tasks in a timely and effective manner.  Timely responding and solving client problems and successful adhere of department SOP’s.

 

  • A Control Room Operator, will be responsible for managing  all the control room operations seamlessly with vert close liaison with other departments i.e. customer care, Accounts department, and the clients directly by answering their questions, responding to emails and handling emergency situations like stolen vehicles, hijack, data needed by at accounts and will ensure that daily reports, and vehicle transmission are monitored in the tracking platform and also  will be handling a first-hand helpdesk support. 

 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Adhere to control room operational procedures for effective goal achievement

            And handle work in a timely manner.

  • To Handle and respond to ticket system directed to the control room for

             Action by solving and closing tasks assigned to the department.

  • To handle client request emergency situations of stolen vehicles and perform

             Immobilization as per laid down departmental protocols.

  • To liaise with field departments regarding tracker repairs by submitting

             Daily/weekly reports of non-transmitting vehicles.

  • To update, and confirm the work done via reports on a daily basis to the

            Management and relevant departments.

  • To be aware of each customer’s system requirements, and respond to call-in

             Request from clients or other company departments.

  • To check system status, and confirm the device transmissions up to date with

             No delays. Ensure the roaming vehicles updates are monitored and advise

             Concerned department of any malfunctions.

  • To receive and monitor client alerts, and act by advising client severe

             Violations that are generated by the fleet. This can be done via emails or

             Phone calls.

  • To monitor and generate the daily transmission observation reports for the

             Newly installed vehicle.

ü  To handle initial troubleshooting process of non-updating vehicles and generate reports based on the possible causes why the device are not transmitting. This in turn advice the customer care department to do client follow up tasks.

ü  To liaise with the finance department on the credit note reports, due to non-transmission of the devices.

ü  Effective liaison with all colleagues across the Company to ensure excellent communication on internal and external enquiries, reporting functions, to avert losses that result in communication delays on inquiries that need departmental implementations.

ü  Make on-the-spot judgments regarding immediate action required when incidents arise like vehicle hijacking, stolen vehicles and escalating the same to the management.

ü  Ensure there is a follow up in the pending reports/task that results to no proper updates of the tracking units. This should follow up on a departmental level till such is rectified.

ü  To priorities device monitoring for golden clients and raise direct tickets or call the clients to get information for units not transmitting.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education Level       :   Diploma to bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent

Degree Field             :  The field of study depends on the intended field of employment.

Experience                :    2 – 5 Yrs

Computer skills        :   Proficiency with Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint Internet and  

                                     E-mail

Communication        :    Must have good communication skills in both English and Swahili
