Hello,
I'm having trouble using the Lookup table for my soil, definition of HRUs.

I'm modeling a basin in Brazil. I have created the table with the parameters of my soils, and using the Append (in ArcGIS), has joined with the table usersoil ...

But when you click "LooUpTable," tab "Soil Data" in the definition of HRUs, the software returns me the following message:
"The soil ' ' does not exist in the database usersoils. Correct problem and try again."

However, strangely, when I click on the soil, one by one (I've more than 200 different types of soil), I can select the soiltypoe that I inserted, with the same name appearing in LOOKUPTABLE ...

Does anyone know what could be wrong?
Attached is the table I'm using ....

PS: I tested the file .dbf file in .txt ... I have already tested other names, without strange characters, like # ...

Thanks...

Tips:

give your soils a short name (max. 29 characters)
never use _ ; #; /; § ...
make sure all soils are in the usersoil table
use the .dbf which in example 1 (since each column should have a
particular formating)
if you are adding a soil map as a vector file make sure all polygons
have been dissolved first

don't despair, the problem sits most of the times in front of the
computer :-)

Hi,

I am not sure I understood exactly what you are saying, but the
message SWAT is giving you sounds like an issue with the usersoil
table in the c:\SWAT\ArcSWAT\Databases\SWAT2009.mdb (directory will
depend on where you installed SWAT). I believe that the soils must all
be added to that table before you can add them in the HRU analysis
process. There is more information about this topic in Section 15.1 of
the Users Guide (page 330).

Filipa and others,

I appreciate the help!
As you said, lack and attention on my part!

I was putting the column name as "SNAM", the same used in "usertable soil" but did not pay attention ...

In the lookup table should be used "NAME" as the name of the column ...

Alright, solved.
Thanks!

Hello Michel and all,

Can you please check my lookup table and usersoil database. I actually deleted the one with arcswat and loaded my own. During the HRU analysis i am receiving errors. Not sure weather the files are rightly prepared?

Thanks
