India - Hunt for paper on Hyderabad nawab reveals many missing historical papers

NEW DELHI: A hunt for a copy of a 1967 certificate recognising Nawab Mir Barkat Ali Khan Bahadur as the ruler of Hyderabad showed many documents were missing from the government’s archives.
The Central Information Commission (CIC) has now urged the home ministry to set up a committee to identify “such files of historical importance” and ensure they are handed over to National Archives.
