Coming in to use the shop and membership

Hello! 

My name is Peter and my friend John and I came in to the open house Sunday and are planning to sign up for a membership and come in today. I know you can sign up online, but would we be able to come in and use some of the equipment tonight when its open around ~8? We are excited to jump into it and get acquainted with the space.

there's the monthly business meeting starting at 8, so shop use should limited to low-noise things after that.  

there's usually someone there by 7 at the latest, sometimes as early as 5.  when they throw the "open" switch it'll post to the "Space is..." thread here.

Welcome to Arch Reactor!

Tonight the monthly business meeting starts at 8pm. Most Tuesdays there will be people at the space earlier than that (at least by 7ish, and probably earlier). Until we have some walls built between the shop and the classroom/workspace area at the front of the space, using power tools during the business meeting is going to be problematic. Once the meeting is over, there should be plenty of members around to help you out with the equipment you want to use.

I suggest you sign up for a supporting membership on the web today, and then attend the business meeting and introduce yourself to some of the members. This will get you on the path to full membership.
