Hello all,

My name is Dorian.  You probably do not remember me but I came to one of the 3d printing meetups more than a year ago..  I went on to finish my prusa i3 and it gives a really nice print (despite the inverted y axis.. heh..).  

Anyhow.  My latest project was repairing and installing a backlight into an original gameboy.  Also did the high contrast inverter mods.

I'm also building a retro teardrop camper right now.  I'm more than a year into that project and it's nearing completion.

But my place is small and my tools are piling up around me.  I wouldn't mind having a place to share.

This weekend I grabbed a busted C64 and I need to do some solder de-solder work.  I have my own tools.  I saw there was a hack something event open to the public tomorrow night.  I was hoping to come out.

Anyway.  If this event is still on and people are going to be around please give me a shout.

Hi Dorian,

Welcome to Arch Reactor!   Our "open switch" isn't reliable right now but folks will be around tomorrow evening.  I'll be getting there about 6pm or just after.  I can show you where the soldering station is but I'm not even a novice with soldering.  

You know we moved, right?  We're now at 2215 Scott Ave, behind UPS just off Jefferson & hwy 64/40.  

There's actually an all-day board-gaming event happening there right now and it will go until at least midnight.  If you stop by, look for Frank and he'll give you the tour once he finishes his current game.

Thank you for getting back to me and letting me know about the updated location.

I will not require any assistance with soldering.  I can even bring my own iron and supplies.  I was certified in electronics from a vocational school when I was 19.  My needs aren't so much access to tools and education.  I'm basically looking for community and a space to tinker outside of my home.

I look forward to meeting you tomorrow night.

I expect you'll love it at AR.  We have a Great community and now 6000 sq feet of tinkering/creative space.  Our members work on all Sorts of great projects!
