Do we have dado blades for the table saw?  I'm guessing not and that we don't have a sled setup for dado cuts either, but figured I'd check first.

I guess I should even ask if it was operational for use.

There is a Dado set at the space, I think it's on the bottom shelf of one of the tables. You'd have to make a zero clearance insert (or purpose built sled) I suppose... but there is a dado set somewhere in that shop..

Thanks!  I'll look for it. I may just go the straight bit on the router route but I got a lot of 4x4s I want to lap joint.

the Dado set is in a wooden case on the shelf under the router table.  there is an insert for it, but it's not zero clearance, and no specific sled, which is probably fine for lap joins for 2x4's.

If you find it, make sure you respect it... that dado blade was how I lost part of my left middle finger. ;)

They are exactly where chris said, however i did make a zero clearance insert out of mdf for them. It should be in the rack to the right with the rest

that would only apply to the right-side though right?  unless you put all the blades in?

Ah cool. I should be good to go then.  Maybe I'll make a quick sled so I can keep my fingers and the 90.
