I picked this up from a friend recently. I'm sure we can use it for more than just stained glass grinding, but if anyone is into that hobby I'm sure they will find this useful.

The Glastar Super II Grinder is a glass grinder that artist, hobbyists, schools, and studios will enjoy. Save time by grinding down uneven glass to make your glass fit your design. The Glastar Super II Grinder features a 1/2 hp motor and comes with a 3/4" and a 1/4" grinder bits, and a 5 year manufacturer warranty.

Let me know if you have a use for this tool at Arch Reactor.

Super cool Gene.  I've always been interested in glass work but like most of us I have too many ideas and not enough time.

Do we have any stained glass supplies? I would be interested if we did.

could a sanding drum for wood be used with it?  does it have speed control to turn it down and use with plastic?

I see no speed control on it, but an adapter might allow for a wood sanding block.

This looks exactly like the one my mom has. I do have a tiny bit of experience with stained glass help her. This is a decent unit for hobbyist. You learn real fast to get your cuts and snaps close to the line because it does not remove material very fast. You could probably put a sanding drum in the chuck, but i think the rpms would be too high to make it very useful.
