Key card not working!!! .

Hey all! My key card is not working. It clicks, lights green and then red and then blue and I hear the door click but not unlocking.  What can I do?

Please help. I have a lot to do today!

For further background information, the reader flashes blue if you leave the card in front of the reader after it has already successfully read the card once.  It will continue flashing blue and will not read again until the card is moved out of range of the reader.

this has been happening a lot.  is it an issue with the latch?

It is an issue with the latch. I think it has wiggled out of position a bit. I have been hesitant to mess with it though as i would just be mucking about and just as likely make it worse instead of better.

It's also affected by air pressure as the door hinge springs aren't strong enough to keep the door from preloading the latch.

Yeah those hinge springs wore out surprisingly quickly. I think we might have a closer in the basement with the panic bars. I'll look tomorrow.
