Have a look at my data...

https://aprs.fi/#!mt=roadmap&z=11&call=a%2FN5MDT&timerange=21600&tail=21600

I am seeing this:  _%Æêèb@α«fpd`äèéñû¿`£jÿ¬▓@Σ«Æêèd@ß≡!3042.58NI09533.01W#PHG5250 W5HVL Walker County Amateur Radio Group

This is coming from a Yaesu FTM-400XDR. I know the packet rate is way too close, I have been testing some things. It's back to normal now but I still see the above garbage. What did I forget or change in the setup of this unit? I have nothing to do with Walker County Amateur Radio Group, although Walker County is within range and could hear the packets direct or through a digi.

This comes from my radio even through several digis, so it is not a matter of overdriving or overloading the digi. (One of them is very close.)

I have checked and double checked all of the settings in the beacon text, status, etc, and just cannot find it. I'm sure I am overlooking something simple.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

Looks like a corrupted status packet was received from the ARPS-IS some time ago.  If you can send a status packet from your FTM-400, that will replace it.  If not, let me know and I'll spoof one in with whatever text you want it to say.

A status packet would follow a > in your raw packet payload.  I'm not sure if the FTM-400 has that capability.
