Google Groups

I can't add a parent email to a group, it says "One person is already a member of the group. The provided email address might be a primary secondary or alternate email address of this person."  We have a Google group for our Band parents to receive updates and notices.  The parent fills out a google form on the band website, then when we are notified we add them to the group.  

Any thoughts?
