Hi Krishan,

Yes, the currently supported Java SDK version is 1.8.4. You can still deploy despite the warning but you might observe unexpected behavior.
The NullPointerException you're getting seems like it's due to use of Endpoints/Backends which are not currently supported.

Can you confirm you're using those APIs in the app?

Thanks
-Meni

Hi Krishan,

Thanks for confirming. Endpoints API is definitely on our roadmap but I don't have a release date at this time.
Feel free to contact Chris Cox (cc'd here), he'd be happy to work something out with you if your timeline is pressing.

Let me know if you need any help testing other parts of your app on AppScale. :)

Thanks
-Meni

Hello Oscar,

usually application will work in AppScale without any changes, even
coming from the 1.9 SDK. We did heavily modified, fixed, and backport
various pieces to make sure of that.

What problem are you seeing? Are you using services/modules?

cheers,
graziano
