Running AppScale Tools on OSX

Does anyone know if AppScale Tools should be run on OSX? AppScale will be running in EC2 but I wanted to know if the tools to start, stop, and do deployments can or should be run on my Laptop. Or do they need to be installed on an EC2 instance next to the head AppScale node? Does this question make sense? Thanks for the help.

Hi Casey,

You can absolutely run AppScale Tools on your OS X.

OK great. I wasn't sure if the tools needed to be constantly attached to the head node using a server or if they could be on something like a laptop which is constantly turned on and off. Thanks for the info.
