We are deploying an app on Appscale through DigitalOcean.
App was originally developed for google app engine and contains gae apis and its written in python.

Everything was successful until the Step 3.But when we ran appscale up.
After running this command it gives error "Appscale 3.1.0 is not installed for our machine IP"

Please help us.....

we need to upload our app to appscale and deploy it...
it is written in python.....any methods to upload and run python webapp would be really helpful.

we need to submit this in our project please help at the earliest!!

I would highly recommend using Ubuntu 14.04 as a base image. We test that a lot more than 12.04. The instructions are the same.

In the meantime, I'll try to reproduce the issue that you are seeing on 12.04.

Is there any errors in your controller log file? You can find it at /var/log/appscale/controller-17443.log.

Also, did you configure the network security on the virtual machine to allow connections on all ports? AppScale manages its own firewall, and it will not start if some of the ports are closed from the outside.

Hello Chris,

Thanks a lot for your guidance.I had checked logs at  /var/log/appscale/controller-17443.log and cassandra.log.
The main issue was space issue.Issue was resolved by selecting ubuntu machine from Digital Ocean with below configuration:

4 GB Memory / 60 GB Disk / NYC3 - Ubuntu 14.04.5 x64.

After that I followed instruction at below path and my application has worked perfectly.

Best Regards,
Anjana Aggarwal
