Building native extensions.  This could take a while...

ERROR:  Error installing caldecott:
ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.

        /usr/bin/ruby extconf.rb
mkmf.rb can't find header files for ruby at /usr/share/include/ruby.h

Gem files will remain installed in /usr/local/share/gems/gems/eventmachine-1.0.0 for inspection.
Results logged to /usr/local/share/gems/gems/eventmachine-1.0.0/ext/gem_make.out

How to solve this problem ?

Hi Preetam,

What operating system are you running on? This is likely due to the requirements to run cladecott are not met on your system.

With Mac OS X you will need Xcode w/Command Line Tools installed, Windows you will need the Ruby DevKit installed, and Ubuntu you may need to install the build-essentials package/the bundler gem to get Caldecott installed.

Please ensure that those dependencies particular to your OS are installed and give it another try.

Thank you!

Adam

I have the same problem, on elementaryOS with build-essentials and bundler gem installed. It looks like a problem with the eventmachine gem.
I need to tunnel my db as fast as possible, so please, respond quickly!
