Can you direct us to how, if not then when we can create an app specific option setting.

BB10 has this native feature that is somewhat closely analogous to the Android Menu Options, though not quite. However its quite an important user feature that I think will need to be included for BB app architecture and design.

Thanks,
Ket

PS - loving the activity on the sdk and am getting my head back into the BB space again.

Hi Ket,

The BB team totally agrees with you about needing better picker support. We held off implementing the custom picker because we froze the Titanium SDK release (3.1.2) at 10.0.9 for BB because some of the carriers were being slow to allow 10.1.x upgrades. It appears now though 10.1 is generally available. The team is scheduling features for the next release including 10.1.x items and the picker is top of the list. To track our progress here is the Jira ticket - https://jira.appcelerator.org/browse/TIMOB-9788. For a simple picker for now possibly use a TableView?

Thanks,
Russ

HI Russ,

I'm actually talking about the "Application Menu", although pickers would be awesome too!

Here is a screenshot from the bb10 ui guideline pdf: the menu at the top of the screen accessed when swiping down anywhere within the application.

Cheers,
Ket

Hi Ket,

We have Application Menu support slated for our 3.2 release but we are scheduling now to target 3.2 and I think along with custom Pickers it's a cool useful feature so hopefully we can get it within the next few weeks. It will be available on the nightly build.

To track our progress the Jira ticket is: https://jira.appcelerator.org/browse/TIMOB-9143 feel free to update the ticket with anymore info if you like.

Best regards,
Russ
