Extension throwing error: "Cannot find component: GridAdapter 1"

I can't seem to get my extension (http://pastebin.com/YKQY5WPu) to work. It takes a canvas and arranges ImageSprites on it to form a grid shape. I suspect the problem is with the fact that I am trying to modify ImageSprites without interfacing with the canvas, but I am unsure, especially seeing as the occurrence of the error is unrelated to the use of the function that does this. In fact, I can't seem to do anything with my extension without it throwing "Runtime Error: Cannot find component: GridAdapter 1" and quitting the block. I can use other extensions though, including those which I have compiled.
