ng-keypress events with nvda screenreader

Hi,

I have 

<a class="lnk-primary" href="javascript:void(0);" role="button" ng-click="func(1)" ng-keypress="func(2)">

    Hello

</a>

The keypress event works fine in FireFox

but

when used in FireFox with NVDA browser the events are not fired.

Any help is much appreciated.

Why does NVDA block my events????
