Ah, I see,

Well, if you open up a windows like this, it is starting another instance of your app, that does not share anything with your current page. There are different way's to communicate/share data between those, with localStorage (with it's events) is the easiest to use.

H Rishu,

Do you need it to move 'outside' your own app? If not, you can be a plain div, with some extra css so you can move it around.
When you want to move it independent from your app, you really need a browser-pop-up, and create something to keep it up to date. If it's just simple status updates it's not too hard to create a service that pushes the updates to the status window.
