Not Working....
i think my problem is the infamous "i915 black screen on boot" issue that turns off display backlight, i tried the image from this topic with "nomodeset" and it's working but can't boot other builds even using "nomodeset", any suggestion?

Update: according to this page: http://people.skolelinux.org/pere/blog/Fixing_the_Linux_black_screen_of_death_on_machines_with_Intel_HD_video.html "When installing RedHat, Fedora, Debian and Ubuntu on some machines, the screen just turn black when Linux boot, either during installation or on first boot from the hard disk. The reason seem to be in the wiring of some laptops. The system to control the screen background light is inverted, so when Linux try to turn the brightness fully on, it end up turning it off instead."

But even using i915.invert_brightness=1 as a kernel option is not working and screen goes black. PLEASE HELP!!!

that is 2 years old, that info has all been integrated into the 4.0+ kernel.....what you have been offered
is working for many others....suggest you provide the following:

the output of logcat / dmesg / lsmod

hopefully then someone can help...good luck
