hi,
i installed the ICS in my acer aspire.
all works fine (without Youtube and Radio streaming)
now i will run ICS in my external display on 640x 480.

in grub, i added video=LVDS-1:d video=VGA-1:640x480
on Android boot, the resolution of the monitor is 640x480, but after
boot, on the android start screen, the resolution switch to a higher
resolution.

anyone knows, how can i fix this problem?

sorry for my bad english.

Thanks

Try adding the following flag to your kernel boot options in grub: nomodeset

Try this in your system.prop file

debug.drm.mode=640x480@24

I'm having some troubles with external display on my Acer Aspire One KAV60 (D250 on some countries)

First, I was using the android-x86-4.0-RC2-asus_laptop, that worked nicely on the netbook. Hardware acceleration working very well. I could play games like PvZ, Angry Birds, with no problem.

So, i tried to plug the netbook on my LCD TV by the VGA exit, and I got the same problems like many here: no VGA output and black screen.

I tryed to use the video=LVDS-1:d code on the GRUB, and some additional codes like video=VGA-1:1024:768, VGA=ASK, etc etc etc, and i got on the same problem: the system start do load with no problem (on the TV screen), and then, when the ANDROID loading logo comes up the screen blinks and i get a black screen with NO VGA INPUT or NO SUPPORTED SIGNAL.

It´s only works if I use the "nomodeset" code on the GRUB (and, I don´t need to use the "video=LVDS-1:d" code), but It seems it loose all the hardware acceleration. And even a youtube video cannot be played.

I tryed to install the last test release (android-x86-4.3-20130725). And i got the same problem as the 4.0RC2 version. Works nicely on the netbook screen, with all the hardware acceleration; the "video=LVDS-1:d" doesn´t work and i got a black screen with no or unsupported signal, the "nomodeset" code works but I lost the hardware acceleration.

May someone help me?
