Does anyone have a comprehensive supported device list for Android X86 and/or a percent of Androids using X86 vs all others?

Thanks.

I think all you need is a device with an x86 cpu(eg.Intel dualcore, AMD x4) enough ram and a supported vga(eg Intel onboard graphics and AMD ATI except GCN ones). Not sure nvidia is supported now though

That's certainly a minimum requirement, but I think many people are also
interested in whether Android-x86 supports their particular hardware for:

- wireless
- bluetooth
- touch pad / screen
- ethernet
- accelerometers (if fitted)
- sleep mode
- pluggable storage (eg: SD cards, USB sticks)

Therefore I think the original question remains a very relevant one:

Normal people think "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Engineers think "If it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet".

Please reply to the list;

I can answer that

Acer W500 and Acer W700 hybrid tablets work well with Android 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 x86 released by Android-x86 group.

Though it's a valid question, it's hard to answer.
Indeed there is a supported device list in google doc
(link available at our main webpage),
but it's not well-maintained and doesn't provide enough information IMO.

If you just hope to know if your device is supported,
the best way is just test yourself and report to the list.
Another way is search the list

Actually during the development cycle of 4.4-r2,
I have created a sheet to track the UT (unit testing) result
of the devices I have.
I'm planing to release it to public so people
can contribute and improve it.
(but need to clean it up and write some docs)

Hello,

where can I put informations about the device - in my case Lenovo X201 Tablet?
And where I can find documentation about the android way set_property

strace wacom-input tells me, that touch and pen should work, but it is not attached.

Greetings,
Arnold

Hi guys,

Sorry for waking up this topic to live in 2017 but I'm having trouble identifying x86 devices that Google supports them.

In my Google console I have this data
Native platforms x86_64
Supported Android devices 15 devices

It would very interesting to find out which are those 15 devices that Google supports them!

I am using Teclast X3 Pro

Currently Android-x86 Nougat installed

 - wireless (works)
 - bluetooth (stops after some time, worked in previous versions)
 - touch pad / screen  (works)
 - ethernet (has no ethernet)
 - camera (does not work)
 - accelerometers (not tested)
 - sleep mode (does not work)
 - pluggable storage (works)

I am using Google Assistant, Google Pixel Launcher, Google Drive, Google Docs, e.g. without problems.

Unfortunately Google Plus does not want to be installed...

Maybe a Google Spreadsheat or wiki page would be nice to write the infos down.

Samsung Galaxy 10.6 - Nougat installs fine but wireless does not work and the touch axis is inverted (touching the top of the screen results in actions on the bottom of the screen, same with the left-right axis).

Hello !
I guess I found the list of devices you were talking about. The last update was in 2017. If a device checks all the "full support" boxes on the list, does it mean that it still checks them as of today (August 2020) with high probability, or it doesn't mean anything anymore ?
At the moment, I don't know yet if I want a 10+" or a ~15-17" device, but there are about 35000 rows in the spreadsheet, so it's kind of a little hassle to find compliant devices. So, does anyone have some tablet or hybrid to recommend, that works fine on recent releases of Android-x86 ? (I absolutely need wi-fi and external keyboard support)
Or is there somewhere a recent list of devices that are know to work on Android-x86 ?
Thank you!
