Very poor performance on R9 280X

Whenever I start the latest version of RemixOS, the llvmpipe driver is being used, resulting in mostly poor UI/2D and 3D performance.

Can RemixOS/android-x86 be configured so it uses the radeonsi driver? If so, how?
