Develop AOSP for unsupported devices

Hi

I'm a newbie. I tried to build an AOSP ROM  for my phone (s3 mini VE), because there aren't AOSP based ROM, but after setting my ubuntu machine and downloading AOSP source code, I didn't know where put my hands. There are any source code for my device, except the Samsung one. So how can I start? I haven't much experience but I want to learn.
