Getting boot/startup messages

Hi all,

I'm trying to add a service and build for pixel2 with may security patch.

After flashing the device display momentarily the Google screen then reboots into fastboot again.

Is there a way to get some logs of what went wrong? are they persist somewhere?

adb wait-for-device && adb logcat - won't show anything (I guess adb didn't started yet).
