How to get built in FM transmitter working

I have an Acer Liquid E2. This device is supposed to have a built in FM transmitter so no extra device needed. I have no idea how to get this working. I can not find any app on the phone that does the trick.
All I want is to play (mp3) music from my android device and receive this on an (old) FM radio in the car.
Does anybody know how to get this working (without any extra hardware)?
