Hi,
I would like to get a better understanding of Android's shadow architecture.
My understanding:
In one use case, view shadows are triggered by setElevation API.
In this use case, the shadow rendering is implemented in hwui/SpotShadow.cpp?
Shadows are not supported at the windowing system level (e.g. SurfaceFlinger).
Shadows are supported within an application, when a view is rendered to the application window?
Would be great if you can provide details of the internal components and architecture.
Best Regards,
Jeff
