This error occurs in Eclipse IDE if you don't set the Project Build target as Android 4.2 ( in Project Properties->Android). If you set it as Android 4.2, then eclipse will not show the error as it will use Android 4.2 for build and the error won't be shown.Hope it helps someone :)
