Need help regarding /dev/hiddev

Hi

I'm trying to add support for HID Telephony Usages.

From the AOSP code, I understand that input system reads from

"/dev/input/event[X]" device node/s only.

But I'm more interested to read input reports on "/dev/hiddev[X]" node,

so that I can leverage the services of Linux HID layer. But I do not see

any support for this in AOSP.

What is the better way to add support for HID telephony usages and

Vendor usages and Vendor pages?
