Uiautomator recommended IDE!

Hi,

I want to start using uiautomator with java and I need to make a decision with which IDE to work for that purpose and what is better?!

When I tried to work with Eclipse (with ant build) I faced some issues, like:

1. Can't debug

2. Had to use the uiautomator.jar as external jar and not as dependency from my POM

When I tried to use Android studio (with gradle):

1. starting the test (generating the jar and deploying to device) is much easier than in eclipse

2. couldn't get access to files in my machine storage (C:\) - I tried to implement a DDT functionality that take the TCs from excel file

3. I want to use other common utilities from another maven project from inside my Android Studio

What is recommended?
