The time consumed for GCM server sending out push notifications

Hi,

I'm considering using GCM to push very time-sensitive alert to, say, about 5000 users.
Did anyone know how long the will the GCM server take to push the 5000 messages in average and in worst case?

The actual delivery largely depends on whether the device is connected or not. From a sizable sample, when the target device is connected, 99% of messages are delivered within 500ms.
