GCM CCS authentication issue over NodeJS

I have been able to trying to establish a successful connection to GCM's CCS using NodeJS's faboulous node-xmpp module. This is the exchange of stanzas between node's client and ccs i have been able to debug so far:

The stream is closed after the last message and the connection is terminated. Apparently, i haven't been to authenticate successfully over the ccs. I am using the plain ssl authentication method and i have found the jid and password to be correct. Any idea what might be wrong here?
