What benefits for integrating XMPP client to APP server for receiving upstreams instead of HTTP requests?
Can you share some statistics about GCM upstream usage, does it grow in time, some trend?

Hi Pavel,
upstream is a very particular feature which offers some benefits over plan HTTP requests (like it uses less data), but it also has its own drawbacks (complexity of xmpp, introduce one more dependency etc).
You need to consider the trade-off of this technology for your specific use-case.
