Custom notification tone for specific contact proposal

Hi,

I noticed that Android currently has a way to set contact specific ringtone in the contact application. However, I don't see a way to set a contact specific notification tone built in, although there seem to be other ways[1][2] to do this. I would like to propose adding this feature to the current contact app in the same UI popup as the set ringtone one (view contact => menu => set sms tone).

Furthermore, Android already provides an API to get the custom ringtone for each contact[3]. So I propose that we expose this as well via the same interface as CUSTOM_RINGTONE.

Lastly, and I'm not too sure if the messaging app is still maintained. I would like to propose this to be added into the AOSP messaging app.

I've already started a patch, but it is for CyanogenMod. Since this change would also involve changing the SDK slightly (as the exposure of CUSTOM_SMSTONE or something like that in ContactsContract), I think it would be more reasonable to include this in AOSP.
